The Ford Motor Company in Mexico has developed a modular wheelchair called P-Raptor, intended for dogs with mobility issues, specifically rear leg problems. This innovative design is customizable to fit dogs of different sizes and adapt to various conditions. Equipped with an electric motor in its oversized tires, P-Raptor enables dogs to navigate rugged terrain comfortably. The design also includes a grill with lighting, adding a stylish touch for the canine users.
The company plans to offer the design for free download in the near future. Dog owners will be able to input their pet’s measurements and other relevant details to receive custom-sized 3D-printable parts. Although the final version is expected to be available by 2024, enthusiasts have ample time to prepare their 3D printers for this upcoming endeavor. Additionally if you need a new printer or even just spare parts, we might just have what you need on our store.
Despite challenges like being born without hind legs, dogs can still be incredibly adorable. While P-Raptor may have a somewhat industrial appearance, it joins the ranks of other doggie wheelchairs designed to enhance the lives of dogs with mobility impairments.
