_Maker and developer Kniives has created two impressive Raspberry Pi-powered arcade cyberdecks that combine the best of portable gaming and mini PC functionality. Designed primarily for gaming, these builds run Lakka, allowing users to play games from systems like the Game Boy Color, Nintendo 64, and PlayStation 1. The cyberdecks are highly portable, enhanced by a modular Orbit Gear sling for easy transport, making them ideal for gaming on the go.
The builds utilize a Raspberry Pi 5, powered by an Anker 26,800 mAh battery, delivering up to seven hours of gameplay. The cyberdecks’ modular design features hardware mounted with Velcro, enabling easy customization or upgrades. While Kniives opted for Lakka as the operating system, alternatives like RetroPie could be used for similar functionality.
The project showcases the versatility of Raspberry Pi, combining sleek aesthetics with powerful performance. If you’re curious, check out Kniives‘ original thread on Reddit to see these creative builds in action.
